The "Villa" is a project space on the Campus Design of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts. I am living there on the top floor, which is not the most important fact about the Villa :) Students of Interior Design are making experiences in a project called OLE-optimal learning environment. The students have not found much awareness about the design of space in which we try to learn or teach at Universities. Some three other students of mine are experincing a creative lab in the villa, where their first project is to design a stage for VLOW at Bregenz Festspielhaus . And of course, coffee experience with Tchibo took place in the Villa. There is nothing new to the fact, that the design of space makes a difference in creative processes. It is just a horror to see how little effort is laid into creating space that has a positive impact on learning and teaching. You just need to want change.
